1. Herbal Remedies for Heartburn
Uses: Heartburn, Flatulence, Bloating, Hyperacidity, Indigestion, Poor Digestion, Belching, Gastritis
Comments: 1/2 tsp. Ume Plum paste or powder
1/2 tsp. Caraway seeds
1/4 tsp. Dill weed
1 cup hot water
Stir the herbs into the hot water and allow standing for 10 minutes, covered. Strain off the caraway seeds and drink following meals or when needed.

Comments: 1/2 tsp. Bilberry
1/2 tsp. Raspberry leaves
1/2 tsp. Marshmallow root
1/2 tsp. Catnip
1/2 tsp. Fennel seed
1 quart water
Mix the herbs together in a pot. Pour the water over them and bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat. Allow the herbs to steep for 20 minutes. Strain the herbs. Drink 1 cup every 1/2 hour until the symptoms are relieved.

Uses: Convalescence, Digestive Weakness, Ulcers, Debility, Emaciation
Comments: 2 tsp. Slippery Elm powder
1/2 tsp. Licorice powder
1/4 tsp. Ginger powder
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1 dried papaya spear, chopped
1/2 cup rolled Oats (not quick oats)
11/4 cups water
Place the water and the oats in a small pot and bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low and add the remaining ingredients, including the papaya spear. Cover the pot and let simmer 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and serve. Eat as often as desired.
4. Herbal Remedies for Stomachache
Uses: Ulcers, Stomach Cramps, Intestinal Cramps, Stomachache
Comments: 1/2 tsp. powdered Calendula
1/2 tsp. powdered Marshmallow root
1/2 tsp. powdered Meadowsweet
1/2 tsp. powdered Chamomile
1/4 tsp. powdered Licorice root
1/8 tsp. powdered Ginger root
1/8 cup Aloe Vera juice
2 cups water
Mix the powdered herbs together and place in a tea pot. Boil the water and pour over the herb mixture. Cover and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Strain the herbs and add the Aloe Vera juice to the beverage. Drink 3-4 cups of the tea a day.
5. Herbal Remedies for Bloating
Uses: Bloating, Belching, Digestive Weakness, Indigestion
Comments: 1/2 tsp. powdered Gentian root
1/2 tsp. grated fresh Ginger root
1 cup apple juice or 1 shot of brandy
Mix the herbs and the liquid together. Drink right before meals.
6. Herbal Remedies for Colic Calmer
Uses: Colic, Hyperactivity
Comments: 1/2 tsp. Catnip
1/2 tsp. Lemon Balm
1/2 tsp. Slippery Elm
1/2 tsp. organic Rose Petals or gather them from an unsprayed garden
2 cups distilled water
Bring the water to a boil and pour over the herb mixture. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain the herbs and allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Administer 1/8 of a cup at a time through a baby bottle for a 10 - 20 pound infant.
7. Herbal Remedies for Digestive Cordial
Uses: Indigestion
Comments: 4 tsp. dried Gentian root
2 tsp. dried Meadowsweet
2 tsp. dried Marshmallow root
2 tsp. Lemon Balm , fresh or dried
2 tsp. grated, fresh Orange peel
2 tsp. grated, fresh Ginger
6 Cardamom pods
4- 6 Tbsp. Honey
Brandy
Combine all the herbs together, both fresh and dried. Place in a jar and pour enough brandy over the herbs to cover. Allow the mixture to stand for two weeks, then strain off the herbs. Add the honey, enough for desired sweetness. Bottle in ornate, corked glass bottle.
8. Herbal Remedies for Hemorrhoid
Uses: Hemorrhoids
Comments: 1 tsp. Calendula - crushed
1 tsp. Goldenseal powder
1 tsp. Peppermint leaf
3 cups water
1/2 cup Witch Hazel
Bring the water and the herbs to a boil, covered. Turn the heat off and allow the herbs to steep for 20 minutes. Strain the herbs and discard. Once the liquid is cool add the Witch Hazel. Soak a clean wash cloth in the tea, wring out the excess liquid, then apply the cloth to the irritated hemorrhoids. Do this as frequently as possible.
9. Herbal Remedies for Constipation
Uses: Constipation
Comments: 1/2 tsp. powdered Psyllium
1/2 tsp. ground Flax seed
1/4 tsp. powdered Licorice root
1/2 cup Aloe Vera Juice
1 cup water
Mix all of the ingredients together and stir well. Drink between meals(not with) and follow each glass with at least 1 glass of fresh warm water.
